Your Home Decorators Collection YG908J-MBK still runs fine, but without its remote the speed, light and direction are out of reach. Our replacement handset brings back all 9 speeds, reverse, dimming, a fan-off timer and 3 breeze modes for the Celene II.

Check the model sticker on top of the motor housing, or the box and manual, and make sure it reads YG908J-MBK. Pairing takes about a minute with the Learn button, and there are no DIP switches.

Getting the timing right

The receiver only listens for a new remote for a short time after power returns, normally 30 seconds. Have the batteries in, the cover off and your finger near the Learn button before you restore power. If you miss the window, just cut power again and repeat.

Setup & Pairing

No DIP switches to set. Follow these steps with the fan in view.

Open the back of the remote and fit two new AAA batteries, matching the + marks.
Check the slide switch next to the batteries and set it to 1.
Switch the fan's power off, either at the wall or at the breaker panel, and turn it back on.
Quickly, inside the 30-second window, tap the Learn button next to the batteries.
Watch for the light to flash and the blades to start turning. That means it has paired; if not, repeat the steps.
Close the cover and try a few buttons to confirm everything responds.

Tip: stand where you can see the fan before restoring power. Tip: fresh batteries make the first try far more likely to work.
