About the Home Decorators Collection YG749-PN-B Remote

Lost the remote for the Home Decorators Collection YG749-PN-B? This replacement gives you full control of the Triplex again: nine fan speeds, forward and reverse, light on, off and dim, plus a 2, 4 or 8-hour timer.

Check the model sticker on top of the motor housing, or the box and manual, and make sure it reads YG749-PN-B. Setup is a power-cycle and one press of the Learn button.

Reverse for summer comfort

In warm months, set the blades to spin counterclockwise when you look up at them. That pushes a column of air straight down and creates a wind-chill effect on your skin. Pair it with a middle speed for steady comfort, and switch to a higher speed on the hottest afternoons.

Why there are no DIP switches

Older fan remotes used rows of tiny DIP switches that had to match the receiver exactly. This remote uses learning code instead. During the brief window after power returns, the receiver listens for the remote and saves its code. There is nothing to set or match, and there are no tiny switches to lose track of.

Before you order

AC fans and 6-speed DC fans need a different remote.
The RH787T is a different 6-speed remote, and this one does not replace it.

Setup & Pairing

Setup takes about a minute and needs no tools.

Slide off the battery cover of the remote, load two AAA batteries, and keep the cover off.
Move the small slide switch inside the compartment to position 1.
Switch the fan's power off, either at the wall or at the breaker panel, and turn it back on.
Within 30 seconds, press and release the Learn button inside the battery compartment.
When the light flashes and the blades begin to spin, pairing is complete. No response? Start over from the power-cycle step.

Tip: fresh batteries make the first try far more likely to work.
