About the Harbor Breeze TRD050G1M Remote

Lost or broken TRD050G1M? This new remote gets your Harbor Breeze fan back under control with six speeds, light dimming, breeze mode and a sleep timer. TRD050G1M is the number printed on the back of the original remote or on the sticker inside its battery door. The original takes two AAA batteries and has a Learn button inside the battery compartment, with keys for six speeds, reverse, the light and the timer.

If TRD050G1M is the number on your old remote, you're in the right place. There are no DIP switches; hold the Learn button right after a power cycle.

Holding the Learn button

This remote pairs by holding, not tapping. Right after you restore power, press and hold the Learn button inside the battery compartment for a few seconds until the fan responds. If nothing happens, cycle the power and try again a little sooner.

Hydra 70-in fans

The Harbor Breeze Hydra 70-in is a large eight-blade DC fan with an integrated LED. This remote runs all six of its speeds, the dimmable light and reverse, and pairs with the receiver already in the fan.

Before you order

For DC-motor ceiling fans only. It will not run AC-motor fans.
Not for fans that use a DIP-switch remote. This remote pairs with a learning-code receiver using the Learn button.

Setup & Pairing

Pairing takes a couple of minutes.

Put two AAA batteries in the remote.
Cycle the fan's power at the wall switch or breaker.
Straight away, hold the Learn button in the battery compartment for a few seconds until the fan reacts.

Pair again if the receiver is ever replaced.
