About the Hampton Bay TR240B Remote

Our replacement for the TR240B brings back four fan speeds plus breeze mode and light dimming, so you can run your Hampton Bay fan from across the room again. Slide the battery cover off your old remote and you'll typically find TR240B on the label there or on the back. The original is a Hampton Bay remote for fans powered by Hubspace, with four DIP switches and two AAA batteries.

Hampton Bay fans powered by Hubspace can be run from this remote without the app. It pairs through four DIP switches, so there's no account or phone needed.

Natural Breeze and the delay timer

Natural Breeze varies the airflow for a softer feel. The delay timer turns the light off a little after you press it, so you can leave the room first.

Before you order

Only for fans whose original remote carries the number on this page (304 MHz, 4 DIP switches). Check the back of your old remote.
Not the same as the TR240A (3-speed) remote.

Setup & Pairing

Setup is a matter of matching a few tiny switches; no programming is involved.

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
Open the battery compartment of your old remote and note the up/down pattern of its 4 DIP switches (or check the switches on the receiver in the fan canopy).
Set the 4 DIP switches on this remote to the same pattern.
Install 2 AAA batteries and close the cover.
Restore power and test each fan speed and the light.

Take a photo of the final switch pattern and keep it with your fan's manual.
