Will This Remote Fit?

This remote is made to replace the KUJCE10512. Check the label on your old remote (often inside the battery cover) — if it reads KUJCE10512, this is the one you need.

About the Harbor Breeze KUJCE10512 Remote

Our replacement for the KUJCE10512 brings back High, Medium, Low and Off plus light control, so you can run your Harbor Breeze fan from across the room again. Flip the old remote over: KUJCE10512 sits after the FCC mark on the back label, sometimes inside the battery door instead. Compare the button layout too: one key for each of three speeds, an Off key and a light key.

It's made to stand in for the KUJCE10512 on Harbor Breeze fans. You'll need one 12V A23 battery, then a quick power cycle to pair it.

  • Fits in one hand at about 2 by 4.5 inches
  • High, Medium, Low and Off, one press each
  • Switches the light, whether the kit is dimmable or not

One remote per receiver

Each receiver stores one remote's code, and this system isn't designed for two remotes on one fan. If you want a spare, keep it in a drawer rather than pairing both. When you do switch remotes, just pair the one you plan to use.

How you know it paired

When pairing works, the fan starts on low and the light goes off. That's the receiver telling you it has stored the new code. If nothing happens, cycle the power and press Learn again within 30 seconds. Try a fresh battery if a second attempt still doesn't take.

Before you order

  • A remote marked A25-TX001-R1 looks similar but runs on 315 MHz, so it is not a match.

Setup & Pairing

Stand by the wall switch with the remote in hand, then follow these steps.

  1. Put a fresh 12V A23 battery in the remote, matching the + and - marks.
  2. Turn the fan's power off at the wall switch or breaker.
  3. Switch the power back on.
  4. Before 30 seconds pass, press the Learn button inside the battery compartment.
  5. The fan runs on low and the light turns off when pairing is done.

Once it's paired, mount the bracket and keep the remote on it between uses.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pair it with my fan?

Turn the fan's power off at the wall, turn it back on, and press the Learn button inside the battery compartment within 30 seconds. The fan runs on low and the light turns off when it's paired.

Is a battery included?

No. It takes one 12V A23, which most hardware stores and pharmacies carry.

What frequency does it use?

It runs in the 304 MHz band, the same as the learning-code receivers in these fans.

Do I need a ladder to pair it?

No. Pairing happens at the wall switch or breaker and on the remote itself, so you can stay on the floor.

Where do I find my fan's model number?

Look for a sticker on top of the motor housing, or check the owner's manual or the carton. Store order history from Lowe's or Home Depot also lists it.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.
