The Minka-Aire F569BSDW is the 52-inch Supra ceiling fan in brushed steel with dark walnut blades. Our replacement remote handles three speeds and light dimming from up to about 30 feet, so the fan works the way it did out of the box.

Pick a fresh pattern, set it on both the receiver and the remote, and test again. Avoid the all-up or all-down patterns, since many units leave the factory that way.

About 30 feet of range

The remote reaches the fan from up to about 30 feet, which covers most living rooms and bedrooms. If range drops well below that, the 9V battery is usually tired. A fresh one brings it back.

Setup & Pairing

Turn the fan off at the breaker before you open the canopy to read the receiver.

Open the battery door to find the four code switches.
Read the up/down pattern on your fan's receiver, usually found in the canopy.
Match the remote's four switches to the receiver exactly; no learning step is involved.
Snap in a 9V battery, then test each speed and the light, rechecking the switches if needed.

If nothing happens, recheck that every switch matches; one switch off is enough to stop it.
