About the Casablanca C66U45B Receiver

Your Casablanca C66U45B relies on its canopy receiver for everything the remote does. If the remote has a fresh battery and the fan still ignores it, the receiver is the next part to check. This replacement brings your RH787T back into control.

Your fan's model number is on the motor housing label; when it reads C66U45B, this receiver is made for it. It installs in the canopy and learns your RH787T remote after a power cycle.

Do you need an electrician?

Not usually. If you can turn off a breaker, lower a canopy and reconnect wires the way they came apart, you can do this. If wiring is not your thing, an electrician can make the swap quickly.

Reverse through the seasons

In summer, run the blades counterclockwise, looking up, for a cooling downdraft. In winter, switch to clockwise on a low speed to push warm air down the walls. The receiver handles direction changes from the remote, so there is no switch to reach.

Before you order

• Have the fan's power off at the breaker before you lower the canopy.
• Receiver only. The remote is not included; it works with the RH787T remote.

Setup & Pairing

1. Switch off the breaker that feeds the fan.
2. Drop the canopy so you can see the receiver inside.
3. Photograph the wiring, then disconnect the old receiver.
4. Wire the new receiver exactly as the old one was wired and fold it back into the canopy.
5. Reinstall the canopy and restore power at the breaker.
6. Press the Set button on your RH787T within 60 seconds of restoring power, and wait about 5 minutes while the fan runs both ways.
7. Check off, all six speeds, reverse and the light.

Tip: keep canopy screws in a cup so none get lost.
