Made for the Home Decorators Collection AM613A-BN, this replacement remote covers every control on the Glenmeadow: 9 speeds plus off, forward and reverse, light on, off and dim, three breeze settings and a 2, 4 or 8-hour timer.

The fan's model number, AM613A-BN, appears on its label and on the original carton. Match it before you order. The remote pairs to the receiver already in your fan, so nothing needs to be rewired.

Dimming and LED flicker

The remote turns the fan light on and off and dims it. If an LED light flickers at the bottom of the dimming range, raise the brightness a step or two; very low settings are where flicker usually shows. If flicker happens at every level, the light module or driver may need attention rather than the remote.

Wobble and hum are not remote issues

If the fan wobbles or hums, the remote is not the cause. Wobble usually comes from loose blade screws or blades out of balance; a balancing kit fixes most cases. A light hum can come from the motor or a loose canopy. The remote only sends commands for speed, direction, light and timer.

Setup & Pairing

Have the remote in hand before you touch the power, since timing matters.

Load the remote with two AAA batteries and set the cover aside.
Move the small slide switch inside the compartment to position 1.
Turn the fan off at the wall switch or breaker, wait a few seconds, then switch it back on.
Before 30 seconds pass, give the Learn button in the compartment one press.
Watch for the light to flash and the blades to start turning. That means it has paired; if not, repeat the steps.
Put the cover back and hang the remote on its wall holder.

Tip: pair one fan at a time if two fans share a circuit.
