About the Hampton Bay AC434NI Remote

The Ponte Vecchio's natural iron finish gives it an old-world look, but its remote is pure convenience. If yours has stopped working, this replacement restores high, medium, low and off, plus light on/off and dimming.

This remote is for the Hampton Bay AC434NI. Confirm AC434NI on the motor housing sticker or in the manual, then match four DIP switches to the receiver.

Closing up the canopy

After reading the receiver, tuck its wires neatly back into the canopy so none get pinched, then refit the canopy screws. Restore power at the breaker and test each speed and the light before you put the ladder away.

Before you order

For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.
Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Fit the A23 battery and snap the cover shut.
Cut power to the fan at the breaker before you start.
Lower the canopy and find the DIP switch settings on the receiver.
Set the four switches inside the new remote to match the receiver exactly.
Restore power, then test the fan speeds and dimming.

Still have the old remote? Copy its switches instead and you can skip the canopy steps.

In the box: Replacement remote for the AC434NI fan and a wall mount with screws. Battery not included.

Do I need to turn off the power?

Only if you open the canopy to read the receiver. Then switch off the breaker first, not just the wall switch.

How do I read the switch settings?

Each switch bank is marked with an ON side. Note which switches point toward ON and set the remote to match exactly.

Does it dim the light?

Yes. The light button turns the light on and off and dims it.

Can I use two remotes on one fan?

Yes. Set both remotes to the receiver's switch pattern and either one will work.

Where is the model number on my fan?

Look for a sticker on top of the motor housing. The owner's manual and the original box list it too.
