About the Monte Carlo 5VMR72OZD Remote

Model 5VMR72OZD is the Monte Carlo Vision 72-in, and its label is on the motor housing. The Vision runs on a DC motor controlled by an RH786R receiver, and this handheld pairs with it using the Set button after a power cycle. Once paired, you have six speeds, reverse and light control back.

Your model number is on the motor housing label and in the manual. When it reads 5VMR72OZD, you are in the right place. Pairing takes one press of the Set button after a power cycle. A switch in the battery compartment sets the light to dim or on/off only.

Battery care

The battery is not included, so have one ready before you start; our team can confirm the type. Take the battery out if the remote will sit unused for months, and keep spares in a cool, dry drawer.

One remote per fan

If two fans nearby use the same type of receiver, pair each remote with its own fan. Turn off power to the other fan while you pair, so only the fan you want is in its learning window.

Before you order

Made for DC motor fans with the RH786R receiver, not AC fans.

Setup & Pairing

Cycle the power: off at the wall switch or breaker, then on again.
Press Set on the 5VMR72OZD remote within 60 seconds of turning the power back on.
Let the fan run in both directions for about 5 minutes. When it stops on its own, pairing is complete.
Choose the light mode with the switch inside the battery compartment: dim for incandescent, on/off for LED or CFL.
Put up the wall bracket so the remote always has a home.

Tip: if pairing fails, cycle power again and press Set sooner.
