About the Aire 04624 Remote

The 04624 dresses the Hi-Wind 52-in in a distressed koa finish with an LED light. When its remote goes missing, this replacement restores the speeds, the off button and light on/off with dimming.

It is listed for the Aire Hi-Wind, model 04624. Check the model label on your fan and compare your old remote with our photos before you order, then set four DIP switches to the receiver's code.

If an LED light flickers

LED lights sometimes flicker or hum near the bottom of the dimming range. Bring the brightness up a step and the flicker usually stops. If your fan takes screw-in bulbs, make sure each one is labeled dimmable.

Copying from your old remote

If you still have the old remote, even one with a dead button or a cracked case, open its battery door and note the switch pattern. Copy it to the new remote and you may not need to open the canopy at all.

Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Setup takes a few minutes with a screwdriver and a step ladder.

Switch off the fan's circuit at the breaker panel.
Open the canopy and note the up/down pattern on the receiver's switches.
Match the remote's four DIP switches to the receiver, one switch at a time.
Put in a 12V A23 battery and close the cover.
Turn the breaker back on and try high, medium, low, off and the light.

Tip: write the code on tape inside the battery door once it works.

It works in the 304 MHz band, at about 303.2 MHz, the same band as the receivers it pairs with.
