About the Aire 04621 Remote

Tired of pull chains on your Hi-Wind fan, model 04621? This Comfort Direct replacement remote restores all three fan speeds, off, and light on/off with dimming, from your chair.

It is made for the Aire Hi-Wind 52-in, model 04621. Check the model label on your fan: if it reads 04621, this is the remote you need. Set four DIP switches to the same pattern as the fan's receiver.

Why the breaker comes first

Turning off the wall switch isn't enough when you open the canopy, since some ceiling boxes stay live. Switch off the breaker for the fan's circuit, check that the fan and light are dead, and only then lower the canopy to read the receiver.

Several fans, one house

Give every fan its own code. If two fans share a pattern, one remote runs both, which confuses everyone. Pick different switch settings for each receiver and its remote, and write the pattern inside each battery door.

Before you order

Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.
For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.

Setup & Pairing

Shut off the breaker that feeds the fan, not just the wall switch.
Locate the receiver in the canopy and read its four code switches.
Open the remote's battery cover and set its four DIP switches to the same pattern.
Insert one 12V A23 battery (not included).
Restore power, then test the fan speeds and dimming.
