About the Harbor Breeze TR292A Remote

A dropped, chewed or simply worn-out TR292A doesn't mean a new fan. This remote restores reverse, six speeds and a dimmable light, plus light delay and away mode. Look for TR292A on the back of your old remote; on many units it's printed inside the battery cover instead. Compare the layout: six speed keys, reverse, a light key with dimming, timer keys and breeze. That's what this remote has.

We built this one for fans that shipped with the TR292A. Pairing takes a power cycle and a few seconds on the Learn button.

Using the timer

The timer shuts the fan off after 2, 4 or 8 hours. Two hours is about right for falling asleep, while eight covers a full night. The fan runs normally until the time is up, then turns itself off.

Getting the most from six speeds

Six speeds give you small steps between a whisper-quiet low and a strong high. Large fans move a lot of air, so you may find yourself living on speeds two through four and saving six for hot afternoons.

Before you order

Not for fans that use a DIP-switch remote. This remote pairs with a learning-code receiver using the Learn button.
Not every Harbor Breeze DC fan uses this remote. Some Mazon and Saratoga models came with a different remote, so check the number on your old one.

Setup & Pairing

Have the batteries in before you touch the wall switch.

Load two AAA batteries.
Switch the fan off at the wall or breaker, then back on.
Straight away, hold the Learn button in the battery compartment for a few seconds until the fan reacts.

If two fans share a circuit, turn the other off at its wall switch first.

In the box: TR292A replacement remote, plus a wall bracket and screws.
