About the Harbor Breeze TR326A Remote

Replacing a TR326A is the quick fix for a Harbor Breeze fan you can't control. You get speed control, breeze mode and light on/off with dimming. The TR326A number is usually on a label on the back of the remote, or inside the battery compartment next to the battery. The original is a slim handheld, about 2 by 6 inches, with Low, Medium, High and Off keys, a breeze key and a light key.

If TR326A is the number on your old remote, you're in the right place. There are no DIP switches: cycle the power, then hold High and Low for 5 seconds.

Using it on a porch

Setup & Pairing

Pairing takes about a minute and needs no tools.

Install the battery in the remote.
Cycle the fan's power: off at the wall switch or breaker, then on again.
Before 30 seconds pass, hold High and Low at the same time for about 5 seconds.
The fan starts on low with the light off when pairing is done.

If two fans share a circuit, turn the other one off at its wall switch while you pair.
