About the Harbor Breeze 43372 Remote

Smooth dimming with LED lights

If the light flickers or hums when you dim it, check the wall switch. A fan with a remote receiver should be on a standard on/off switch, not a wall dimmer. Two dimmers fighting each other is a common cause of flicker. If it persists on a plain switch, contact our team.

Leave the wall switch on

The receiver in the fan needs power to hear the remote. If someone flips the wall switch off, the remote stops working until it's turned back on. A simple switch guard or a strip of painter's tape is an easy fix in homes where the switch gets bumped.

Before you order

Not for remotes with DIP switches or two AAA batteries.
Not a universal remote. The A23 battery is sold separately.

Setup & Pairing

Slide off the battery cover and fit a fresh 12V A23 battery.
Cut power to the Harbor Breeze 43372 for roughly 10 seconds at the switch or breaker and turn it back on.
Within 30 seconds of restoring power, press the LEARN button inside the battery compartment. A small screwdriver or pen tip helps.
When the fan or light reacts, pairing is done. If nothing happens, run the power cycle again and retry LEARN within 30 seconds.
Try all three speeds, the light and dimming, then hang the wall holder.
