About the Home Decorators Collection 99968 Remote
The Home Decorators Collection 99968 is the 68-inch Altura ceiling fan. Our replacement remote handles three speeds, reverse and a press-and-hold light dimmer, so the fan works the way it did out of the box. It matches the fan's 433.9 MHz receiver through DIP switches in the battery compartment.
It is made for the Home Decorators Collection 99968. Check the model sticker on the fan: if it reads 99968, this is the remote you need. Copy the switch pattern from your old remote or receiver, and it works.

Getting full range
This remote talks to the fan by radio, so you don't need to aim it, and the signal passes through the canopy and light glass. Range drops as the battery weakens, and large metal objects between you and the fan can cut it down. If it only works up close, a new battery fixes it most of the time.
The original isn't sold anymore
The original remote for these fans is no longer available, which is why so many Altura owners end up with a fan they can only run from the wall. A replacement like this one is the way to get remote control back without changing the receiver.
Before you order
- Not for fans that use the 304 MHz UC7222T or CHQ7222T remote (no 434 at the end). That is a different remote.
Setup & Pairing
No learning step or app is needed; the code is set by switches.
- Cut power to the fan at the switch or breaker.
- Write down the up/down positions of the DIP switches on the old remote or the receiver.
- Copy those positions onto the switches inside this remote.
- Load a 12V A23 battery, restore power, and try every button. There's nothing to program.
If nothing happens, recheck that every switch matches; one switch off is enough to stop it.

My old remote says UC7222T without 434. Will this work?
No. That version runs at 304 MHz, and this remote runs at 433.9 MHz. It is a different remote.
Can I change the code later?
Yes. Set a new pattern on the receiver and on the remote so they match again. That's also the fix if a neighbor's remote moves your fan.
Why does the fan respond only some of the time?
Start with a fresh battery and try from closer. If that doesn't settle it, set a new DIP switch pattern on both the receiver and the remote.
