About the Home Decorators Collection 26668 Remote

Model 26668 is Home Decorators Collection's 68-inch Altura ceiling fan in oil rubbed bronze (Home Depot item 904384). Lose the remote and you lose control of the fan. Our replacement restores speed buttons, a reverse key and light control. It works with the 433.9 MHz receiver in the Altura 68-in, set by DIP switches.

If the sticker on your fan's motor housing says 26668, you've found the right page. Setup is a few tiny switches in the battery compartment.

The 434 at the end

Two look-alike remote systems were used on these fans. The one this remote matches runs at 433.9 MHz, and its labels end in 434. A UC7222T or CHQ7222T with no 434 at the end runs at 304 MHz and won't work with this one. Check the end of the number before you order.

Big fan, big airflow

The Altura is a 68-inch fan, so even low moves a lot of air. Many owners run it on low most of the year and save high for hot afternoons. With reverse on the remote, switching to winter mode takes one press.

Before you order

If your Altura has a DC motor, check your old remote's label before you order.
This remote is for fans with an MR77A or UC7301R (434 MHz) receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Have a pen or small screwdriver handy for the DIP switches.

Switch off the fan at the wall switch or breaker.
Note the DIP switch pattern on your old remote or on the receiver in the canopy.
Set the DIP switches inside this remote's battery compartment to match.
Put in a 12V A23 battery, turn the power back on and test the fan and light.

If a neighbor's fan or your garage door reacts, change the pattern on both the receiver and the remote.

No. That version runs at 304 MHz, and this remote runs at 433.9 MHz. It is a different remote.
