About the Emerson CF955L Remote

The CF955L is an Emerson ceiling fan, and this remote works with it when the fan has an RC188, RC212 or RCK55 receiver in the canopy. Lose the remote and you lose control of the fan. Our replacement restores six speeds, a dedicated off button and two dimmable lights.

If the sticker on your fan's motor housing says CF955L, you've found the right page. Batteries are included, so you can set it up as soon as it arrives.

Check your receiver

This remote works with Emerson RC188, RC212 and RCK55 receivers. The receiver model is printed on its label in the fan canopy. With the breaker off, lower the canopy and check before you order.

Bulbs and the dimmer

The dimmer is rated for incandescent bulbs up to 250 W. Dimmable LEDs may flicker or not dim smoothly. If you use LEDs, test them at a few levels before you commit.
