Will This Remote Fit?

This remote is made to replace the A25-TX001-R1. Check the label on your old remote (often inside the battery cover) — if it reads A25-TX001-R1, this is the one you need.

About the Harbor Breeze A25-TX001-R1 Remote

If the back of your old remote or the inside of its battery door reads A25-TX001-R1, this is the replacement to order. It runs your Harbor Breeze fan on high, medium or low, turns it off with its own button, and dims the light.

Made for Harbor Breeze fans that came with the A25-TX001-R1, it learns your fan's AT-3D or AT-3DL receiver with the Learn button, so there's no new receiver to buy. Setup is a power cycle and a 5-second press.

  • Three fan speeds, high, medium and low, plus a separate off button
  • Learn button inside the battery door: no rewiring, no new receiver
  • Comes with a wall holder so it can live by the light switch

Moved into a home with this fan?

Previous owners often take or lose fan remotes. Start by reading the model sticker on the motor housing, then look for the old manual in a kitchen drawer. Once you've matched the fan, pairing a new remote takes about a minute.

Keeping it out of the couch

Remotes vanish into cushions, under beds and into toy boxes. The wall holder gives this one a fixed spot. Get in the habit of dropping it back in the holder when you leave the room, and you won't be hunting for it again.

Before you order

  • The A25-TX00I remote used on Boltz and Oxford fans looks similar but runs on 304 MHz, and this remote won't pair with those fans.

Setup & Pairing

  1. Cut power to neighboring fans of the same type first; otherwise they may pair as well.
  2. Fit a 12V A23 battery into the A25-TX001-R1 remote, lining up the + and - ends.
  3. Turn the fan's power off at the wall switch or breaker, then back on.
  4. Inside 30 seconds of power returning, keep the Learn button pressed for about 5 seconds.
  5. You'll know it worked when the fan comes on low and the light stays off. No response? Power cycle and try again.
  6. Prefer the manual's method? Hold High and Low together for 5 seconds inside the 30-second window.

Tip: pair with the remote in the same room as the fan, and keep the battery door open until you've pressed Learn.

In the box: A25-TX001-R1 replacement remote, wall cradle with mounting screws, instructions. Add one A23 battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the right replacement if my remote says A25-TX001-R1?

Yes. It's made for fans that came with the A25-TX001-R1. The label is on the back or inside the battery door.

How do I pair the A25-TX001-R1 replacement?

Cycle the fan's power, then within 30 seconds hold Learn inside the battery door for about 5 seconds. The fan starting on low with the light off means it's paired.

I have two fans in one room. Will both respond?

They might if both are powered while you pair. Turn the other fan off at its switch, then pair each one separately.

Can kids use it safely?

Yes, though keep spare A23 batteries out of reach and make sure the battery door stays closed.

Is it a universal remote?

No. It is a learning-code remote for fans set up for this style of three-speed remote, so check your fan's label before ordering.

It stopped working after a storm. What now?

Pair it again: power cycle the fan, then hold Learn for about 5 seconds within 30 seconds. If that doesn't help, try a fresh A23.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.
