About the Home Decorators Collection YG825C-NI Remote

Sleeping with the timer

The fan-off timer can shut the blades down after 2, 4 or 8 hours. Pick a shorter time on cool nights and the longest on warm ones, so the fan runs while you fall asleep and stops before the room gets chilly. It saves energy, and nobody has to get up to turn it off.

Dimming and LED flicker

The remote turns the fan light on and off and dims it. If an LED light flickers at the bottom of the dimming range, raise the brightness a step or two; very low settings are where flicker usually shows. If flicker happens at every level, the light module or driver may need attention rather than the remote.

Setup & Pairing

Pairing uses the Learn button and a quick power-cycle.

Install two AAA cells in the remote; you will need the open compartment for the next steps.
Make sure the little slide switch in the battery bay reads 1.
Cut power to the fan with the wall switch or breaker, then restore it.
Quickly, inside the 30-second window, tap the Learn button next to the batteries.
The fan answers by flashing its light and starting the blades. If it stays still, try the sequence once more.
Close the cover and try a few buttons to confirm everything responds.
Marlon fans with an MR205A-D receiver give you up to one minute after power returns instead of 30 seconds.

Tip: pair one fan at a time if two fans share a circuit.
