Right away, while the 30-second window is open, press Learn and let go.
The fan answers by flashing its light and starting the blades. If it stays still, try the sequence once more.
Replace the cover, then check the light, a couple of speeds and the timer.

Tip: if the wall switch only controls a light, use the breaker instead. Tip: check the slide switch first if pairing does not take.
