About the Home Decorators Collection UC7222T434 Remote

When the UC7222T434 that came with your Home Decorators Collection fan goes missing or quits, the fan is stuck on its last setting. Our replacement brings back speed buttons, a reverse key and light control. The UC7222T434 number is usually on a label on the back of the remote, or inside the battery compartment next to the battery. The 434 at the end matters. It marks the 433.9 MHz version; a label reading UC7222T without 434 is a 304 MHz remote that won't work with this one.

Check the label on your old remote: if it reads UC7222T434, this is the one you need. Setup is a few tiny switches in the battery compartment.

Summer and winter direction

In summer, run the blades counterclockwise, seen from below, so the fan pushes air straight down for a cooling breeze. In winter, switch to clockwise on a low speed. That draws air up and moves the warm air near the ceiling down along the walls without a draft. A good habit is to flip direction when you change the thermostat from cooling to heating.

Receivers it works with

This remote talks to the MR77A, MR77A.2 and 434 MHz UC7301R receivers. All three use DIP switches, so you set the remote to match once and it's done. If your receiver's label shows something else, send us a photo.

Before you order

Not for fans that use the 304 MHz UC7222T or CHQ7222T remote (no 434 at the end). That is a different remote.

Setup & Pairing

Have a pen or small screwdriver handy for the DIP switches.

Cut power to the fan at the switch or breaker.
Note the DIP switch pattern on your old remote or on the receiver in the canopy.
Open the battery compartment on this remote and set its DIP switches to the same positions.
Load a 12V A23 battery, restore power, and try every button. There's nothing to program.

If a neighbor's fan or your garage door reacts, change the pattern on both the receiver and the remote.
