About the Hampton Bay SW19151 Light Kit

The SW19151 is the Hampton Bay Caprice. It lights the room with a built-in round LED array instead of screw-in bulbs. When that array fails, this replacement restores warm 3000K white light without changing anything else on the fan.

Read the label on the motor housing first. If it shows SW19151, this is your array. Everything needed to hang it, the wiring connector and the mounting hardware, is included. Your remote does not need to learn anything new.

  • Included wiring connector
  • 3000K warm white light
  • Round LED light array

Where the model label is

Hampton Bay puts the model number on a sticker on the motor housing, usually on top. From a ladder, shine a flashlight across the motor and read it there. The same number appears on the box, in the manual and on your store receipt if you kept them.

Is it the light or the fan?

If the blades still turn and answer the remote but the light stays dark or flickers, the LED module is the usual suspect. If nothing responds at all, the remote or the receiver in the canopy is more likely at fault, and a new light module will not fix that. Rule those out first.

Before you order

  • Check the model number on your fan's label before you order. This array is made for SW19151.
  • Harbor Breeze Mazon fans use a different light module. Order the one made for your fan.

Setup & Pairing

  1. Cut power at the breaker; the wall switch alone is not enough.
  2. Take off the light cover, then remove the screws holding the old array.
  3. Separate the old wires, then connect the replacement with the included connector.
  4. Mount the new array with the included hardware and replace the light cover.
  5. Turn the breaker back on and test the light.

Tip: keep the screws in a cup so none roll off the ladder.

In the box: SW19151 replacement round LED array with its wiring connector and mounting hardware.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this replacement light kit for the Hampton Bay SW19151 fit my ceiling fan?

It fits the 1 model listed under Compatible Models on this page. If your model isn’t listed, call us at (816) 586-8457 and we’ll check for you.

Which fan is the SW19151?

The Hampton Bay Caprice ceiling fan. This LED array is made for it; check the motor housing label to confirm.

What color is the light?

3000K warm white.

My fan light stopped working. Is it the LED array?

Often, yes. If the fan still runs but the light is dead or flickering, the array is the usual cause. If the fan will not run either, check the receiver and remote first.

Should I turn off the breaker or the wall switch?

The breaker. A wall switch may not cut every wire in the fan.

Can I install it myself?

Most people can. You need the breaker off, a steady ladder and a screwdriver, and the work happens under the light cover.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every product we sell comes with a 1-year warranty against defects. If it fails because of a defect, contact us and we’ll send a replacement.
