The MRAC06S1M-LD-F0 number is printed on the label of the receiver inside your Harbor Breeze fan canopy. The receiver is the small box in the canopy that turns remote signals into fan and light commands, and it is the part that usually quits first. This replacement connects with wire nuts and restores three speeds, off and a dimmable light.

Light works but the fan does not (or the reverse)

When only half the fan responds, look at the simple things first. Try a known-good bulb or check that the light kit plug is seated. If the light and bulbs check out and one function still ignores the remote, the receiver's switching for that output has likely failed.

Using the three speeds

High moves the most air for hot afternoons or a room full of people. Medium is a good everyday setting. Low is quiet enough for sleeping and still keeps air moving. With the receiver working again, you can change speeds from the couch or bed instead of reaching for a chain.

Before you order

• It pairs only with learning-code remotes such as our TR214D. DIP-switch remotes will not pair.

Setup & Pairing

Plan on about an hour, most of it spent at the canopy.

1. Turn off power to the fan at the breaker.
2. Loosen the canopy screws, slide the canopy down and take a photo of the old receiver wiring before you disconnect it.
3. Hook up the replacement receiver with wire nuts exactly as the old one was wired, then tuck it into the canopy.
4. Make sure other fans with learning receivers are switched off, so only this one learns the remote.
5. Flip the breaker on and, inside about 30 seconds, press and hold 0 on the remote. Two blinks from the light mean it paired.
6. Run all three speeds and try the light and dimming.
