About the Home Decorators Collection 91890 Remote

Made for the Home Decorators Collection 91890, this replacement remote covers every control on the Cordoba: 9 speeds plus off, forward and reverse, light on, off and dim, three breeze settings and a 2, 4 or 8-hour timer.

Look for 91890 on the fan's model label or in the owner's manual to confirm the match. Pairing takes about a minute with the Learn button, and there are no DIP switches.

Light color on select receivers

Some fan receivers support light color selection. On those fans, this remote can step the light between color temperatures as well as dim it. On fans whose receiver does not offer color selection, the button simply has no extra effect, and on/off and dimming work as usual.

Find the number on your old remote

Flip the old handset over and slide off the battery door. The part number is usually printed on a sticker inside the compartment or molded into the plastic on the back. Read it under good light, because worn labels are easy to misread. If the sticker is gone, the fan manual or the original box often lists it.

Setup & Pairing

Have the remote in hand before you touch the power, since timing matters.

Slide off the battery cover of the remote, load two AAA batteries, and keep the cover off.
Check the slide switch next to the batteries and set it to 1.
Cut power to the fan with the wall switch or breaker, then restore it.
Within 30 seconds, press and release the Learn button inside the battery compartment.
Success looks like a light flash plus turning blades. Otherwise, repeat from the top.
Replace the cover, then check the light, a couple of speeds and the timer.

Tip: pair one fan at a time if two fans share a circuit.
