About the Harbor Breeze 1117034 Receiver
If your receipt or fan box reads Lowe's item 1117034, your Harbor Breeze fan uses a learning receiver like this one. A failed receiver is the usual reason a fan stops answering its remote while the motor itself is fine. It restores the three speeds and dimmable light without replacing the fan.
Find item 1117034 on the fan box or receipt and you know this page is for your fan. No codes or switches, just a power cycle and one button.
- Backed by our 1-year warranty
- Simple wire-nut hookup
- 1-year warranty, in-stock orders ship same day
- Runs at 304.25 MHz
Where to keep the remote
If your remote has a wall holder, mount it near the room's entrance at light-switch height, so it is easy to find. Keep it out of direct sun and away from heat sources. A fixed home for the remote means fewer lost remotes and fewer dead batteries from being sat on.
If the light flickers when dimmed
Flicker at low dim levels usually comes from the bulbs, not the receiver. If your fan takes screw-in bulbs, use ones marked dimmable, and use the same type in every socket. Mixing old and new bulbs, or LED and incandescent, can cause uneven dimming.
Setup & Pairing
- Switch off the breaker that feeds the fan, then confirm the power is off.
- Open the canopy and remove the old receiver, writing down which lead joined which wire.
- Make the same connections with the new receiver, tug-test each wire nut and fold the wires in neatly.
- Turn off power to any other nearby fans with learning receivers so they do not pair at the same time.
- With the remote ready, turn the power on and hold 0 (fan off) within about 30 seconds until you see the light blink twice.
- Run all three speeds and try the light and dimming.
