About the Aire 04612 Remote

The Spring Haven 04612 is wet rated, so it often hangs over an open patio or pool deck where getting up to change speed is a chore. This replacement remote brings back three speeds, off, and the light with dimming.

It is made for the Aire Spring Haven, model 04612. Confirm 04612 on the fan's label, then set four DIP switches to the same pattern as the receiver.

Remote or receiver?

If a fresh battery and a correct switch pattern still get no response, look at the receiver. A fan that hums but won't change speed, or ignores every button, often has a failed receiver. A new remote won't fix that, so replace the receiver with a matching 4-switch unit.

Porch and patio use

Fans rated for damp or wet spots often hang where the weather reaches. The fan is built for it, but the remote is happiest indoors. Mount the holder just inside the door and keep the remote out of rain and freezing cold.

Before you order

For AC-motor fans only. It will not run DC-motor, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi ceiling fans.
Your fan needs a matching 4-DIP-switch receiver, such as the UC7067FMRX or FAN28R. This remote does not include a receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Shut off the breaker that feeds the fan, not just the wall switch.
Locate the receiver in the canopy and read its four code switches.
Open the remote's battery cover and set its four DIP switches to the same pattern.
Turn the breaker back on and try high, medium, low, off and the light.
Fit the A23 battery and snap the cover shut.

In the box: Replacement remote for the 04612 fan; wall mount; mounting screws. Add one 12V A23 battery.

How do I read the switch settings?

Each switch bank is marked with an ON side. Note which switches point toward ON and set the remote to match exactly.
