About the Harbor Breeze 00875 Remote

Harbor Breeze 00875 is another 44-inch Mazon. If its remote has broken or gone missing, this replacement brings back speeds 1 to 6, Natural Breeze, reverse, light dimming and Home Shield, and it pairs with the fan's existing receiver.

This remote is built for the 00875. Nothing gets rewired: it learns the receiver when you cycle the power and press Learn. The light blinks 3 times and the fan runs on high to confirm.

Find your fan's model number

Most ceiling fans have a model sticker on top of the motor housing, near the downrod, so bring a step ladder and a flashlight. Turn the fan off and let the blades stop first. The owner's manual and the original box list the model too, and a Lowe's receipt shows the item number.

If pairing doesn't take

Most failed pairings come down to timing. Listen for the two tones, then press Learn right away rather than waiting. Put in a fresh battery if the remote seems weak. If several careful tries fail, it's worth having the receiver checked.

Before you order

No receiver is included. Your fan's receiver must still be working.
Use a standard on/off wall switch, not a rheostat or full-range dimmer, or you risk damaging the fan or remote.

Setup & Pairing

Put a 12V A23 battery in the 00875 remote, matching the + and - marks.
Switch the fan off at its wall switch or breaker, then restore power and listen for two tones.
Inside the 30-second window, press the Learn button on the remote's back.
The light blinks 3 times and stays on, and the fan starts on high. That means it's paired.
If nothing happens, cycle the power again and press Learn faster.
Neighbor's remote triggering the fan? Move the battery-compartment DIP switch from 0 to 1, then repeat the pairing.

Tip: drop the remote in its wall cradle right after pairing so it never wanders off.
