About the Home Decorators Collection SW1422BN Light Kit

The SW1422BN is the brushed nickel Merwry 52-in from Home Decorators Collection. Its light comes from a round LED array behind the cover rather than bulbs, so a dead light means a worn-out array, not a worn-out fan. This replacement array restores warm 3000K white light.

Read the label on the motor housing first. If it shows SW1422BN, this is your array. Everything needed to hang it, the wiring connector and the mounting hardware, is included. Nothing needs pairing; your existing controls run the light.

Signs the array is failing

An LED array often gives warning before it quits. Watch for flickering, a few dark LEDs, a light that fades on its own or one that is slow to come on. If the fan still runs normally while this happens, the array is the likely cause.

Setup & Pairing

Safety first: turn off power to the fan at the breaker, not just the wall switch or remote.
Take off the light cover, then remove the screws holding the old array.
Disconnect the old array's wires and connect the new array with the included wiring connector.
Secure the array using the included hardware, then put the cover back.
Restore power and switch the light on to test it.

Tip: safety glasses keep falling dust out of your eyes.
