About the York Mini-Split Remote

York ductless mini-splits are usually put in by an HVAC contractor, so when the handheld remote goes missing it can feel like you need a service visit. You don't. This replacement remote is set up for York systems: enter the York code, aim, and you're back to choosing modes and temperatures from your chair.

Ten York codes are printed in the instructions, starting with 0107. Work through them in order, and if your unit still isn't responding, an automatic code search can take over.

Run cooling, heating, dry, fan-only or auto from one remote

Setup & Pairing

Here's how to set it up for your York system.

Put two AAA batteries in the back, following the polarity marks.
On the lower front of the remote, slide the panel down. That reveals the SELECT key. Notice the little digit in the bottom-left corner of each key; you'll use those to type the code.
Press SELECT until the code area flashes and type the first York code, 0107.
Aim at the York indoor unit and see if it responds.
If it doesn't, press SELECT and try the next one. The full York list, in order: 0107, 0238, 0239, 0240, 0241, 0242, 0243, 0573, 0750, 1266.
Got a beep? Check mode, fan and swing too. When the system responds but a button does nothing, step to the next York code.

Backup plan: keep the York remote trained on the indoor unit and hold SELECT down for 5 seconds. It cycles through codes on its own; press any key as soon as the system reacts to save that one. Be patient, it can take some time.

Then press CLOCK, set the time with TIME +/-, and press CLOCK again. The C/F key switches temperature units.

Do I need my installer to set this up on my York system?

No. You set it up yourself by entering a York code, which usually takes a few minutes.

What does it do if the system responds but some buttons don't?

That code is close, but another may fit better. Enter the next York code in the list and test again; most units get full control.

How far from the York indoor unit can I be?

Up to about 25 feet, as long as nothing blocks the line of sight to the indoor unit.

What's in the box?
