About the Home Decorators Collection SW1422/56in MBK Light Kit

The SW1422/56in MBK is the biggest Merwry, a 56-inch fan in matte black made for larger rooms. If its round LED array has gone dark, the room loses a lot of light. This replacement array restores warm 3000K white and installs with the included wiring connector.

Your model number is on the motor housing, the manual and the box. When it reads SW1422/56in MBK, you have the right page. It connects with the included wiring connector and mounts with the included hardware. Nothing needs pairing; your existing controls run the light.

If the new light flickers

A flicker right after install usually means a connection that is not fully seated. Turn the breaker off, firm up the connection, and try again. Also make sure the wall switch is a plain on/off switch, since a separate wall dimmer can upset integrated LEDs.

Give the LED room to breathe

LEDs run cool next to old bulbs, but the driver still makes some heat. Put the cover back the way it came off and do not add insulation or tape around the module. Good airflow inside the housing helps any LED light last longer.

Setup & Pairing

Cut power at the breaker; the wall switch alone is not enough.
Remove the fan's light cover and unscrew the old LED light array.
Unhook the old array and join the new one using the wiring connector from the box.
Fasten the new array with the supplied hardware and refit the cover.
Flip the breaker on and check the light.

Tip: test the light before the cover goes back on.
