About the Casablanca C45G45B Receiver

A Casablanca C45G45B that will not respond to a working remote usually has a tired receiver. The receiver sits above the fan in the canopy and drives the DC motor and the light. Swapping it brings back control without replacing the fan.

Match the model number first; the fan label should show C45G45B. The swap happens at the canopy, then it pairs with your RH787T.

Why the fan runs both ways after Set

Do not worry when the fan spins one way and then the other after you press Set. That run of about 5 minutes is the receiver finishing its setup with the DC motor. Wait for it to stop before testing buttons.

Keep your remote

Your existing RH787T remote works with this receiver, so there is nothing else to buy if the remote itself is fine. If it is lost or broken, order the remote separately; it is not in this box.

Before you order

Not for AC-motor Casablanca fans or Casablanca 4-speed universal receiver systems.
Have the fan's power off at the breaker before you lower the canopy.

Setup & Pairing

Turn off power to the fan at the breaker, not just the wall switch.
Lower the canopy of your fan to reach the old receiver.
Before disconnecting anything, take a photo of how the old receiver is wired. Then disconnect it.
Wire the new receiver exactly as the old one was wired and fold it back into the canopy.
Reinstall the canopy and restore power at the breaker.
Within 60 seconds of power returning, press Set on your RH787T. The fan runs in both directions for about 5 minutes, then stops when pairing is done.
Try every button to confirm the fan and light respond.

Tip: a fresh remote battery makes pairing more reliable.
