About the Monte Carlo 5VMR72RZWD Remote

The 5VMR72RZWD is a Monte Carlo Vision, a 72-inch DC fan sized for great rooms and open spaces. A fan this large is meant to be run from the remote, not a ladder. This replacement learns the fan's RH786R receiver in one short pairing step and restores all six speeds, reverse and the light.

Before you order, confirm the fan's label shows 5VMR72RZWD. Pairing takes one press of the Set button after a power cycle. You choose dim or on/off for the light with a switch under the battery cover.

Light set to dim or on/off by a switch inside
Learning-code setup, no DIP switches
1-year warranty from our team
Wall mount bracket included

Where to put the wall mount

The included bracket keeps the remote where everyone can find it. Mount it near the room's light switch at switch height, away from heat sources and direct sun. Use anchors that suit your wall so the bracket stays firm.

Running a 72-inch Vision

The Vision's 72-inch span moves a big volume of air. In winter, a low speed in reverse is usually all it takes to even out the room, and in summer the middle speeds cover most days.

Before you order

If your fan has both an up light and a down light, this remote runs the speeds and the down light only.
If your receiver uses DIP switches instead of a learning button, contact us before ordering.

Setup & Pairing

Switch the fan's power off at the wall or breaker, then switch it back on.
Press Set on the 5VMR72RZWD remote within 60 seconds of turning the power back on.
Leave the fan alone. It will run in both directions for about 5 minutes while the receiver finishes setting up. When it stops, the remote is paired.
Set the light switch in the battery compartment to dim for incandescent bulbs, or on/off for LED and CFL bulbs.
Mount the wall bracket near the light switch and store the remote there.

Tip: have the battery ready before you start, since it is not included.
