Which button pairs it?

Most versions pair with a learn button. On some, you hold the Fan Off button instead. Your fan's manual names the right one. Either way, the press comes within 30 seconds of turning the power back on.

Light delay

Light delay turns the light off a short time after you press it, so you can leave the room before it goes dark. It's handy at bedtime.

Put a 12V A23 battery in the remote.
Turn the fan's power off for about 10 seconds, then back on.
Inside 30 seconds, hold the pairing button your manual names, either learn or Fan Off, until the fan or light reacts.
Test all fan speeds and the light.
