Will This Remote Fit?

This remote is made to replace the 2AQZU-18007. Check the label on your old remote (often inside the battery cover) — if it reads 2AQZU-18007, this is the one you need.

About the Harbor Breeze 2AQZU-18007 Remote

Replacing a 2AQZU-18007 is the quick fix for a Harbor Breeze fan you can't control. You get speed control, breeze mode and light on/off with dimming. FCC numbers like 2AQZU-18007 are printed in small type on the label on the back of the remote, or under the battery cover. Fans that came with it use the MR101T receiver, which this remote learns after a power cycle.

Not sure your old remote says 2AQZU-18007? Send our team a photo and we'll confirm. There are no DIP switches: cycle the power, then hold High and Low for 5 seconds.

  • Built for 304.25 MHz learning-code receivers
  • Wall mount bracket included
  • Backed by our 1-year warranty
  • About 2 x 6 inches

One remote per fan

Each remote is meant to run one fan. Keep a dedicated one for every fan in the house and mark the back with the room name. That keeps the bedroom fan from starting when someone adjusts the living room, and it makes troubleshooting simple: if one fan stops answering, you know exactly which remote and receiver belong together.

Setting the light level

Tap the light key to switch the light on or off, and use the dimming function to set the brightness you want. Dimming from the remote means the wall switch can stay on all the time, which the receiver needs anyway.

Before you order

  • Made for 3-speed AC fans. Not for DC-motor fans.
  • This is the remote only. If your fan's receiver has failed, a new remote won't fix it.

Setup & Pairing

Stand near the wall switch with the remote in hand.

  1. Install the battery in the remote.
  2. Switch the fan off at the wall or breaker, then switch it back on.
  3. Inside the 30-second window, press High and Low together and hold for 5 seconds.
  4. The fan starts on low with the light off when pairing is done.

Pair again if you ever replace the receiver.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know it paired?

The fan starts on low with the light off. If that doesn't happen, cycle the power and hold High and Low again.

What frequency does it use?

304.25 MHz, for learning-code receivers such as the MRAC04S1M-LD-F0 and MR101T.

Does it come with a receiver?

No. It's the remote only and learns the receiver already in your fan.

Can one remote run two fans?

We recommend one remote per fan. Give each fan its own so one button never moves both, and label each one with its room.

Is this the original Harbor Breeze part?

No. It's a new Comfort Direct replacement built to work like the original remote, and it carries our 1-year warranty.

When will my order ship?

In-stock orders placed by 4 PM, Monday to Friday, ship the same business day.

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 90 days. Items must be unused and uninstalled, in their original packaging. No restocking fees. Please read our return policy before sending anything back. Questions? Call (816) 586-8457 or email info@fanremotes.com.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every product we sell comes with a 1-year warranty against defects. If it fails because of a defect, contact us and we’ll send a replacement.
