About the Home Decorators Collection SW1422/48in/BN Light Kit

The SW1422/48in/BN is the 48-inch Merwry in brushed nickel, a size that suits bedrooms and home offices. When the round LED array behind its light cover fails, you are left with a fan and no light. This replacement array restores warm 3000K white light and comes with a connector and hardware.

Please check the motor housing label before you order: this array is made for SW1422/48in/BN. It connects with the included wiring connector and mounts with the included hardware. Nothing needs pairing; your existing controls run the light.

Take a photo before you unplug

Snap a quick picture of the old module's wiring before you touch anything. It shows which lead went where and how the module sat, and it is handy if you need to call us. Phones take good close-ups in tight spaces, so turn on the flash and get close.

Where the model label is

Home Decorators Collection puts the model number on a sticker on the motor housing, usually on top. From a ladder, shine a flashlight across the motor and read it there. The same number appears on the box, in the manual and on your store receipt if you kept them.

Before you order

Match the model number on the motor housing to SW1422/48in/BN first.
This is the LED array only; the remote and receiver are separate parts.

Setup & Pairing

Switch off the breaker for the fan before you start.
Remove the fan's light cover and unscrew the old LED light array.
Unhook the old array and join the new one using the wiring connector from the box.
Secure the array using the included hardware, then put the cover back.
Turn the breaker back on and test the light.

Tip: have a helper hold the module while you connect it.

In the box: SW1422/48in/BN replacement round LED array with its wiring connector and mounting hardware.
