About the Home Decorators Collection SW1422WH Light Kit

SW1422WH is the white finish of the Merwry 52-in from Home Decorators Collection. The fan uses a round LED array for its light, and when that array burns out you can swap it instead of replacing the fan. The new array gives warm 3000K white light.

Please check the motor housing label before you order: this array is made for SW1422WH. It connects with the included wiring connector and mounts with the included hardware. Your remote does not need to learn anything new.

What 3000K looks like

3000K is a warm white, close to the glow of a classic incandescent bulb. It is soft enough for bedrooms and living rooms and still bright enough to read by, and it suits dining areas too.

Turn off the breaker first

A wall switch does not always cut every wire inside a fan. Flip the breaker for that room and confirm the fan is dead before you open the light. It takes a minute and turns a ceiling job into a safe one. Tape a note on the panel so nobody switches it back on.

Before you order

Match the model number on the motor housing to SW1422WH first.
If the fan and the light both stopped working, the problem may be the receiver or remote rather than the LED array.

Setup & Pairing

Cut power at the breaker; the wall switch alone is not enough.
Lower the light cover and unscrew the old round array.
Unhook the old array and join the new one using the wiring connector from the box.
Mount the new array with the included hardware and replace the light cover.
Restore power and switch the light on to test it.

Tip: keep the old module until the new one is working.
