About the Harbor Breeze HTD21017 Light Kit

The black Cartersville 60-in, Lowe's item 4067990, is a DC-motor fan rated for damp, covered outdoor spots, and model HTD21017 is printed on its label. If the fan still runs on its 6-speed remote but the light is gone, this 3000K module is the part that brings it back.

Your model number is on the motor housing label, the manual and the Lowe's receipt. When it reads HTD21017, you can order with confidence. Hook it to the light leads just like the original and use the new mounting plate that comes with it. No pairing step: your existing remote turns it on, off and dims it.

Is it the light or the fan?

If the blades still turn and answer the remote but the light stays dark or flickers, the LED module is the usual suspect. If nothing responds at all, the remote or the receiver in the canopy is more likely at fault, and a new light module will not fix that. Rule those out first.

Work from a steady ladder

Light modules are not heavy, but you will be holding parts over your head. Use a ladder tall enough that you are not stretching, and keep small parts in a cup or tray. A helper who hands you screws, or holds the module while you connect it, makes the job faster.

Setup & Pairing

1. Start with the breaker off.
2. Take off the cover and lower the old module.
3. Connect the new module to the fan's light wiring the same way the old one was connected.
4. Secure the module with the included plate and refit the cover.
5. Power up and check on, off and dimming.

Tip: keep the old module until the new one is working.
