Electrolux-badged air conditioners aren't common in the US, which makes finding a remote for one in a local store close to hopeless. This replacement is set up for Electrolux. Enter an Electrolux code once and it takes over the day-to-day: switching modes, nudging the temperature, changing the fan and setting a timer.

The instructions list eight Electrolux codes, 0216 first. Try them in order; if your unit doesn't react to any of them, the remote's automatic search keeps going until something does.

Setup & Pairing

A one-time setup, start to finish:

1. Open the rear cover and fit a pair of AAA batteries.
2. Lower the sliding panel at the bottom front of the remote. You'll find SELECT there. The digits you'll type are the small numbers in the bottom-left corners of the keys.
3. Press SELECT (the code area blinks), then enter 0216.
4. Point at your Electrolux AC and check for a response. If there's none, press SELECT and enter the next code. Electrolux codes in order: 0216, 0217, 0218, 0219, 0220, 0569, 1245, 1752.
5. When it responds, test the rest of the keys. Unit responds but one button does nothing? Try the next Electrolux code.
6. If the list runs out, hold SELECT for 5 seconds while aiming at the AC. The remote sends code after code; press any key the moment the unit reacts to keep it.

Last two things: set the clock with CLOCK and TIME +/- (press CLOCK to finish), and press C/F to change units.
