About the Harbor Breeze CAL52MBK5LR Light Kit

If your Calverton 52-in is the matte black one, its label reads CAL52MBK5LR. The 20W built-in LED in this fan can be replaced on its own, and this module matches the original range, from 2700K warm white up to 6500K daylight, while dimming from your remote.

Not sure of your model? A flashlight and a look at the sticker on the motor housing will tell you, and CAL52MBK5LR there means you are in the right place. Your original plate and screws hold it in place, just like the old light. No pairing is needed; the original remote turns it on, off and dims it.

Hold on to the old module

Keep the old module until the new light is up and working. Comparing them side by side shows you how the new one sits. Once you are happy, recycle the old board with electronics rather than household trash, where your area allows.

Dimming from your remote

The module connects to the fan's existing light circuit, so the original remote still switches it on and off and dims it. There is no new button to learn. If the light will not dim after install, check that the connection is fully seated.

Before you order

• This is a light module, not a remote or receiver. If the fan itself does not respond, the module will not fix it.

Setup & Pairing

1. Shut off the breaker for the fan, not just the wall switch.
2. Remove the light cover and take out the old LED module, keeping the mounting plate and screws.
3. Connect the new module to the fan's light circuit the same way the old one was connected.
4. Mount the module on your fan's plate and screws and put the cover back.
5. Power up and check on, off and dimming from your controls.

Tip: keep the screws in a cup so none roll off the ladder.
