A187-0515036 is the light kit number in the parts list of the Berkshire 52-in owner's manual. On the fan itself, the old module is the round of LEDs behind the light cover, fed by two single-pin wires, one black and one white. This replacement puts back the same 18W, 3000K light, with more than 900 lumens at full brightness.

When your manual or the old module shows A187-0515036, you have found the right replacement. Hookup is two single-pin plugs matched by color, then the keyslot holes on the plate fit over the switch housing screws. Nothing needs pairing, and your remote still steps through all four brightness levels.

Where the model label is

Harbor Breeze puts the model number on a sticker on top of the motor housing. From a ladder, shine a flashlight across the top of the motor and read it there. The same number appears on the box, in the manual and on the Lowe's receipt if you kept them.

Four brightness steps

The original remote dims this light in four steps: 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent. The new module follows the same levels, so your habits do not change. If you like it softer in the evening, 25 percent gives a gentle glow.

Before you order

This is a light module, not a remote or receiver. If the whole fan ignores the remote, check the CR2032 battery or the receiver.

Setup & Pairing

Start with the power off at the breaker panel.
Unscrew the cover and bring the old module down.
Unplug the old module from the two single-pin connectors.
Plug in the new module, matching black with black and white with white.
Mount it to the switch housing through the keyslot holes on the mounting plate.
Restore power and test the light with your remote or pull chain. No pairing is needed.

Tip: keep the old module until the new one is working.
