About the Home Decorators Collection 2AQZU-18012 Remote

Found 2AQZU-18012 on the back of your old remote? Our replacement takes its place on Home Decorators Collection 9-speed DC fans, with 9 speeds, reverse, light dimming, a 2, 4 or 8-hour timer and 3 breeze modes.

It is made for Home Decorators Collection fans that came with the 2AQZU-18012 remote, including Kensgrove, Zolman Pike and Celene fans. Check the label on your old remote: if it reads 2AQZU-18012, this is the one you need. Setup takes about a minute with the Learn button, and there are no DIP switches to set.

Before you order

For 9-speed DC fans only. It will not run AC fans or 6-speed DC fans.
It does not replace the RH787T, which is a different 6-speed remote.

Setup & Pairing

Put two AAA batteries in the 2AQZU-18012 replacement remote and leave the battery cover off.
Set the slide switch inside the battery compartment to position 1.
Turn the fan's power off at the wall switch or breaker, then turn it back on.
Within 30 seconds, press and release the Learn button inside the battery compartment.
The light flashes and the blades start turning when it has paired. If not, repeat the steps.
Marlon 66 in. fans with an MR205A-D receiver give you up to one minute after power comes back on.

In the box: 2AQZU-18012 replacement remote, wall mount holder with screws. Batteries are not included.

How do I pair the 2AQZU-18012 remote with my fan?

Put in two AAA batteries, set the switch in the battery compartment to 1, then turn the fan power off and back on. Press the Learn button within 30 seconds, and the light flashes and the blades turn when it has paired.

Will it work on an AC fan or a 6-speed DC fan?

No. This remote is for 9-speed DC fans only. It will not control AC-motor fans or 6-speed DC fans.

Does it dim the light?

Yes. It turns the light on and off and dims it. On fans whose receiver supports color selection, it can also change the light color.
