Indoor number, not outdoor number

Your system has two labels: one on the wall unit inside and one on the condenser outside. The remote only talks to the indoor unit, so that's the number to match. Outdoor numbers often look similar but use different letters, and ordering by them is a common reason people end up with the wrong remote.

Rule out power first

If the indoor unit ignores every button, check the breaker and the outdoor disconnect before anything else. Many wall units also have a small emergency operation button under the front panel that runs the system without a remote. If that button gets the unit going, the unit is fine and a new remote is the fix.

Setup & Pairing

Put two AAA batteries in the back of the remote, matching the + and - marks.
Aim at the indoor unit from where you normally sit and press the power button.
Choose a mode and set the temperature you want.
