About the Harbor Breeze Santa Ana Remote

Lost the remote for your Harbor Breeze Santa Ana ceiling fan? Our replacement brings back six speeds, Natural Breeze mode, reverse, light dimming and the 2, 4 or 8-hour sleep timer.

It is made for Harbor Breeze Santa Ana fans. Check your fan's manual or box: if it says Santa Ana, this is the remote you need. It pairs with the RECDC8294 receiver already in the fan. Setup takes about a minute: turn the fan's power off and on, press the Learn button on the back, and you are done.

Light dimming: tap for on/off, press and hold to dim dimmable bulbs.
6 speeds + Natural Breeze: pick a speed from 1 to 6, or let the fan vary its speed like an outdoor breeze.
Reverse: switch the airflow for summer or winter right from your chair.
Home Shield: turns the light on and off by itself so the house looks lived in.

Before you order

This remote is not universal. It is made for Santa Ana fans; if your old remote looks different, contact us before ordering.
No receiver is included. Your fan's RECDC8294 receiver must still be working.
Do not run the fan from a rheostat or full-range dimmer wall control. It can damage the fan or the remote.

Setup & Pairing

Put a 12V A23 battery (sold separately) in the remote, matching the + and - marks.
Turn the fan's power off at the wall switch or breaker, then turn it back on. The receiver plays two tones.
Within 30 seconds, press the Learn button on the back of the remote.
The light blinks 3 times and stays on, and the fan starts on high. That means it is paired.
No luck? Repeat the power off/on step and press the Learn button a little sooner.

How do I pair this remote with my Santa Ana fan?
