Galanz may be best known for microwaves, but it also sells window and portable air conditioners, and like any small remote, theirs can disappear fast. This replacement is set up for Galanz air conditioners. Key in a Galanz code and you can switch modes, set the temperature, change the fan and schedule the unit from wherever you're sitting.

Five Galanz codes are listed: 0371, 0372, 0521, 0883 and 1908. If your unit doesn't respond to any of them, the remote's auto-search is the next step.

Setup & Pairing

Getting it working on your Galanz:

Install two AAA batteries.
Slide the front panel near the bottom of the remote down to expose SELECT. The small number in the bottom-left corner of each key is the digit that key enters.
Press SELECT. With the code area flashing, enter 0371.
Aim at the Galanz unit and press a key. No response? Press SELECT and enter the next code. Galanz codes in order: 0371, 0372, 0521, 0883, 1908.
Once it responds, test fan, mode and temperature. If the unit responds but a button does nothing, move to the next Galanz code.
If none of the five works, aim at the AC and hold SELECT for 5 seconds. The remote starts searching through codes; press any key as soon as the unit responds. Give it time.

Finally, set the clock with CLOCK and TIME +/-, pressing CLOCK to save. Press C/F to switch to Fahrenheit.
