Pick a code, test it, and you're back to adjusting the temperature from your chair. A good match gives you mode, fan speed, timers, sleep, and swing on units with moving louvers. The screen is backlit, so it's readable in a dark room, and it shows the clock and room temperature in °F or °C.

Setup & Pairing

Setup happens once, from wherever you can see the front of the unit.

1. Put two AAA batteries in the back compartment.
2. On the front, slide the lower cover down to reach SELECT. Each key has a small digit in the bottom-left corner; that's what you press to enter a number.
3. Press SELECT, enter 0260, and press power while pointing at the Danby.
4. If the AC doesn't respond, carry on in this order: 0261, 0262, 0263, 0264, 0265, 0526, 1289, 1976.
5. When it does respond, check mode, temperature and fan. If the Danby reacts but one button won't, the next code may give you that function.

Ran out of codes? Hold SELECT for 5 seconds to launch auto-search. Point at the unit the whole time, and press any key as soon as you hear the beep or see it switch.

Set the time with CLOCK and TIME +/−, then use C/F to show Fahrenheit.
