About the Harbor Breeze A25-TX012 Remote

Lost or broken your Harbor Breeze A25-TX012 remote? Our Comfort Direct replacement brings back full control of your DC-motor ceiling fan and its light: six speeds, Natural Breeze, reverse, dimming, the sleep timer and Home Shield.

It is made for Harbor Breeze fans that came with the A25-TX012 remote. Check the label on your old remote, on the back or inside the battery cover: if it reads A25-TX012, this is the one you need. It pairs with the receiver already in your fan. Setup takes about a minute: turn the fan's power off and on, press the Learn button on the back, and you are done.

6 speeds + Natural Breeze: pick a speed from 1 to 6, or let the fan vary its speed like an outdoor breeze.
Light dimming: tap for on/off, press and hold to dim dimmable bulbs.
Reverse: switch the airflow for summer or winter right from your chair.
Learn-button pairing: cycle the power, press Learn, and you are set. Includes a wall-mount cradle.

Before you order

This remote is not universal. It is made only for fans that came with the A25-TX012 remote, so check the label on the back or inside the battery cover of your old one.
The Harbor Breeze Saratoga II (model 00581) uses a different remote, the A25-TX007. This one will not work with it.
No receiver is included. The receiver in your fan must still be working.

Setup & Pairing

Put a 12V A23 battery (sold separately) in the remote, matching the + and - marks.
Turn the fan's power off at the wall switch or breaker, then turn it back on. The receiver plays two tones.
Within 30 seconds, press the Learn button on the back of the remote.
The light blinks 3 times and stays on, and the fan starts on high. That means it is paired.
No luck? Repeat the power off/on step and press the Learn button a little sooner.

How do I pair the A25-TX012 remote with my fan?

Turn the fan's power off and back on, then press the Learn button on the back of the remote within 30 seconds. The light blinks 3 times and the fan runs on high when it is paired.

What battery does the A25-TX012 take?

One 12V A23 battery. It is not included, and most hardware and grocery stores carry it.

Does it dim the light?

Yes. Press and hold the light button to dim. Dimming works with dimmable bulbs; non-dimmable LED and CFL bulbs only switch on and off.

Does it come with a receiver?

No, this is the remote only. It pairs with the receiver already in your fan, such as the FD30-H02R, FD40-H02R or FD40-H03R.

Another remote controls my fan. What can I do?

Slide the small switch inside the battery compartment from 0 to 1. Then turn the fan's power off and on and press the Learn button again so the fan learns the new code.

What if my old remote has a different number?
