About the Harbor Breeze 40943 Remote

Need a new remote for your Harbor Breeze 40943 ceiling fan? This replacement gets your Harbor Breeze 40943 fan running again, with all six speeds, Natural Breeze, reverse, light dimming and the sleep timer.

It is made for the Harbor Breeze 40943 ceiling fan. Check the model number on your fan or in its manual: if it reads 40943, this is the one you need. It pairs with the receiver already in your fan. Setup takes about a minute: turn the fan's power off and on, press the Learn button on the back, and you are done.

6 speeds + Natural Breeze: pick a speed from 1 to 6, or let the fan vary its speed like an outdoor breeze.
Reverse: switch the airflow for summer or winter right from your chair.
Sleep timer and Walk Away: shut the fan off after 2, 4 or 8 hours, or one minute after you leave the room.
Learn-button pairing: cycle the power, press Learn, and you are set. Includes a wall-mount cradle.

Before you order

This remote is not universal. It is made for the 40943 fan only, so check the model number on your fan or in its manual.
Check first: some fans in this line came with a remote that has a slide season switch, which is a different layout. If your old remote looks like that, contact us before ordering.
No receiver is included. The receiver in your fan must still be working.

Setup & Pairing

Put a 12V A23 battery (sold separately) in the remote, matching the + and - marks.
Turn the fan's power off at the wall switch or breaker, then turn it back on. The receiver plays two tones.
Within 30 seconds, press the Learn button on the back of the remote.
The light blinks 3 times and stays on, and the fan starts on high. That means it is paired.
No luck? Repeat the power off/on step and press the Learn button a little sooner.
