About the Samsung Mini-Split Remote

Samsung's ductless lineup, including its Wind-Free wall units, is controlled day to day with a handheld infrared remote. If your original remote was a DB93-series remote like the DB93-03170Z, or an ARH-5203, and it's broken or gone, this replacement is set up for Samsung to step in.

There are thirteen Samsung codes in the instructions. You enter one, check your indoor unit responds, and stop when every key you use works. If the list runs dry, start the automatic search.

Setup & Pairing

Program it for Samsung with a single code entry.

1. Load two AAA batteries in the back compartment.
2. Slide the lower front panel down. Under it is SELECT, and every key shows a small digit in its bottom-left corner.
3. The Samsung codes are, in order: 0188, 0189, 0190, 0191, 0192, 0193, 0194, 0195, 0196, 0516, 0518, 0700, 1726.
4. Press SELECT and, while the code area flashes, enter the first Samsung code. Point at the indoor unit and press power.
5. Silence from the unit? Press SELECT and key in the following code. A reply with one dead button is also a cue to move to the next Samsung code.
6. To search automatically, hold SELECT for 5 seconds while aimed at the unit, then release. The remote tries code after code. Press any key as soon as the unit responds.

Don't skip: set the clock (press CLOCK, use TIME +/-, press CLOCK) so timers fire at the right time, and select °F or °C with C/F.
