About the Gree Mini-Split Remote

Gree builds a lot of the ductless equipment sold in North America, and Gree Comfort systems all depend on a handheld to do anything beyond on and off. If your original remote was a YAC1FB or YAA1FB, this is a practical replacement for it.

Programming is short. The instructions list eleven Gree codes. Enter the first, test, and move down until your Gree unit answers every key you care about. If you somehow run out of codes, an automatic search steps through the rest for you.

• Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan or Auto at the press of the mode key
• Fan speed and swing control for airflow where you want it
• Sleep plus on and off timers
• Backlit screen with a clock and the room temperature
• °F/°C switch and a wall-mount bracket in the box

Setup & Pairing

A few minutes with the Gree code list is all it takes.

1. Fit two AAA batteries under the back cover.
2. Slide down the cover on the bottom half of the front face. You'll see SELECT, and a small digit in the lower-left corner of each key.
3. Press SELECT. The code area blinks, ready for four digits.
4. Enter Gree codes in this order, testing each one: 0309, 0310, 0311, 0312, 0313, 0314, 0315, 0316, 0482, 0512, 0513.
5. Test by pointing at the Gree indoor unit and pressing power. If it beeps but, say, swing does nothing, go back to SELECT and enter the next code.
6. For the automatic search, point at the unit, hold SELECT for 5 seconds and release. When the unit reacts, press any key straight away to lock in that code.

Then: set the clock (press CLOCK, adjust with TIME +/-, press CLOCK again) and pick °F or °C with the C/F key.
